OCT-2

Octamer-binding transcription factor 2 (OCT-2) is a B-cell transcription factor (nuclear marker), which interacts with BOB.1 as a cotranscription factor for the activation of the immunoglobulin promoter in the process of immunoglobulin gene expression.

OCT-2 and BOB.1 are more commonly used to differentiate Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma (CHL) from Nodular Lymphocyte Predominate Hodgkin Lymphoma (NLPHL).  In NLPHL both Oct-2 and BOB.1 are expressed.  In CHL, however, only a subset of cells will express both Oct-2 and BOB.1.
